End User License Agreement

This EULA explains Bantay’s intended use and the practical limits of its personal-safety tools.

Last updated August 22, 2026

Using Bantay

Bantay is a personal-safety companion that helps you prepare a message for trusted contacts and maintain local safety-session timers. You are responsible for configuring trusted contacts, reviewing message content, maintaining device permissions, and choosing actions appropriate to your circumstances.

Not an emergency service

Bantay is not a police, medical, rescue, dispatch, or monitoring service. It does not contact, dispatch, transmit location to, or establish a connection with emergency services. Bantay cannot verify that an emergency service has received or can identify a user’s location. It does not replace contacting the appropriate local emergency number directly when there is immediate danger.

No guaranteed delivery or background operation

SMS messages, notifications, location updates, timers, and background behavior depend on your device, permissions, network, signal, battery, carrier, and operating system. Bantay cannot guarantee that a message will be delivered, received, or acted upon.

User confirmation

Mobile operating systems may require confirmation before sending an SMS, sharing a location, or granting a permission. Bantay clearly identifies when an action is prepared, requires confirmation, is unavailable, or has been queued locally.

Safety Call

Safety Call is a local simulation intended to help a user leave an uncomfortable situation. It does not contact a real person, emergency service, or monitoring center. Do not use it to impersonate another person unlawfully or to deceive for harmful purposes.

First-aid and reference information

If reference material is included in a release, it is general informational guidance and not a diagnosis or substitute for trained medical care. Seek professional assistance for medical emergencies.

Acceptable use

Do not use Bantay to harass, track, threaten, impersonate, or endanger another person. Do not attempt to interfere with the app, another user’s device, telecommunications services, or emergency systems.

Changes

Bantay may evolve as device capabilities and platform rules change. Material changes to these terms will be reflected on this page with a revised update date.
